cocoon is a 8 by 4 foot hanging sculpture spun from weeks spent in social isolation due to COVID-19 with only silkworms for companions. This piece is made of about 600 translucent porcelain surgical face masks, each about 1-2 mm thick, glazed with a hand-mixed original Jun glaze.
